NRECA CEO Requests Funds for Rural Broadband

In a letter to the House Committee on Appropriations, Jim Matheson, CEO of the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA), recently requested significant funding for rural infrastructure. Matheson recommended that at least $2.5 billion of the FY2018 budget be dedicated to providing broadband to rural areas of the country.
