Alaska Coop Announces New Battery Energy Storage System

Cordova Electric Cooperative, an Alaskan electric cooperative, unveiled a new 500 kW battery energy storage system. Energy leaders and from Washington, D.C. and Alaska celebrated the new system with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on June 9, 2019.

Colorado Coop Makes Lofty Renewable Energy Commitment

Texas Cooperative to Install Battery Storage System

Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) has signed an agreement with Aggreko, a provider of mobile and modular power solutions, to install and commission a battery energy storage system in Johnson City, Texas. The system will provide solar shifting from a nearby solar farm within the PEC service territory.

Texas Cooperatives Agree to Purchase Solar Energy

Bartlett Electric Cooperative, Comanche Electric Cooperative, Heart of Texas Electric Cooperative, PenTex Energy and South Plains Electric Cooperative have signed agreements to purchase 7 MW of distribution-scale solar generation, providing an increased supply of cost-effective and clean energy to their members. Tenaska Closes Financing for Missouri Wind Project

Tenaska recently closed on $302 million of financing for the development of a 242 MW wind project to deliver power to Associated Electric Cooperative, Inc. The project is expected to enter commercial operation in late 2019 and will provide new jobs in the Northwestern Missouri region.
