New Mexico Cooperative Breaks Ground on New Solar Project

Kit Carson Electric Cooperative (KCEC) recently broke ground on the first of seven solar arrays on the Picuris Pueblo.  KCEC has signed a power purchase agreement to acquire all of the energy produced by the project.

Green Power EMC and Silicon Ranch Dedicate Second Solar Farm

Green Power EMC and Silicon Ranch, an independent solar power producer, dedicated a 52 MW solar farm in Jeff Davis County, GA that will serve more than 8,500 households each year. In December 2015, Green Power EMC and Silicon Ranch dedicated a 20 MW solar farm in Jeff Davis County, making the county one of the top solar communities in the country.

Lake Region Electric to Construct Natural Gas Pipeline

Lake Region Electric Cooperative (LREC) and Minnesota Gas will construct an intrastate pipeline in Minnesota to serve natural gas customers in the Deer Creek and Parkers Prairie communities.  The $1.6 million pipeline is scheduled for service in August 2017 and will be owned and maintained by LREC.

Kentucky Public Service Commission Approves EKPC Sale of Solar Leases

The Kentucky Public Service Commission has approved a proposal that allows East Kentucky Power Cooperative Inc. (EKPC) to sell licenses to its customers for a solar panel farm planned in Clark County, Kentucky. Great River Energy Announces Joint Solar Project with Dakota Electric Association

Great River Energy recently announced a joint solar project with Dakota Electric Association.  The 1-megawatt project will be constructed on five acres of land along Highway 61 in Marshan Township.  Once completed, it will provide enough electricity to serve approximately 150 residential members.

Dairyland Announces Three Additional Solar Projects

Dairyland Power Cooperative (Dairyland) announced that it has finalized agreements for two solar projects in Wisconsin and one solar project in Iowa.  The additional projects will increase Dairyland’s total solar generation from 15 megawatts to 20 megawatts.
