Cobb EMC to Purchase Power from New Solar Project

Cobb Electric Membership Corporation has entered into a 25-year power purchase agreement with Dominion to purchase power from a solar project near Augusta, Georgia.  Dominion recently acquired the development project, which will produce approximately 7.7 megawatts using photovoltaic technology.  The project is expected to begin commercial operations on December 1. 2013.  To read more,...

Texas Coop to Own and Operate Experimental Wind Energy Storage System

Delaware Coop Breaks Ground on New Solar Farm

The Delaware Electric Cooperative (Delaware Electric) has begun construction of a 20-acre, 16,000-solar-panel, solar energy farm in Sussex County, Delaware.  It will be one of the largest solar farms in the state and is expected to cost $14 million.  Delaware Electric hopes the project will be online by May 2013.  Read more here.
