Kentucky Coop Building Solar Project at Fort Campbell

Pennyrile Rural Electric Cooperative is working with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Tennessee Valley Authority to develop a 5 MW solar project at Fort Campbell.  The project will help the base meet a Department of Defense directive to procure 25 percent of the base’s energy from renewable sources by 2025.  Read more about the project here.

Tri-State Enters Wind PPA with Iberdrola Renewables

Tri-State Generation and Transmission Association, Inc. Dairyland Power Seeks Bids for Solar Project

Dairyland Power, an electric cooperative based in La Crosse, Wisconsin, announced that it is seeking proposals from solar developers for up to 25 MW of photovoltaic generation to add to its renewable energy portfolio.  Read more here.

Texas Coop Breaks Ground on New Hydroelectric Plant

The East Texas Electric Cooperative and Trinity River Authority of Texas recently broke ground on a new hydroelectric project. SMEPA Terminates Power Purchase Agreement for Kemper Power Plant

South Mississippi Electric Power Association (SMEPA) has announced that it has pulled out of a deal with Mississippi Power to purchase 15 percent of the power generated by the Kemper County power plant, which is currently under construction.  SMEPA noted that its decision to terminate the purchase agreement was based on both the rising costs of electricity from the Kemper County plant...

Arkansas G&T Adds Wind to Portfolio

North Dakota PSC Approves Permits for Basin Electric Power Cooperative’s Infrastructure Projects

On April 29 the North Dakota Public Service Commission (PSC) approved permits for three infrastructure projects. Kentucky Public Service Commission Approves Methane Project

The Kentucky Public Service Commission has recently approved a new methane project at the Glasgow Regional Landfill (Landfill).
