Taos, New Mexico coop Kit Carson Rural Electric Cooperative recently signed a power purchase agreement with Standard Solar Inc. for a 1.5-megawatt utility-scale photovoltaic generating facility. The project will include 5,280 solar PV panels and will offset approximately 1,500 tons of greenhouse gases per year. Kit Carson has agreed to purchase electricity from the facility for 25 years.
