Michigan City Prevails in Dispute With Coop Over System Upgrade

Midwest Independent System Operator, a nonprofit corporation that manages power transmission across several Midwestern states, has approved the plans of Traverse City, Michigan, to build a $9 million substation and transmission facility.  The plan was opposed by Wolverine Power Corporation, who favored a much less expensive transmission line near its own facilities.  The Record Eagle provides additional details.
